If your looking for a trainer who is beyond the typical, Brian is your guy. His extreme knowledge and excitement shows his passion for fitness. But, his preparation for my workouts, patience and genuine concern for the success of My fitness shows his passion for teaching/training . I'm never bored, always learning. Goals are set, reached and reset. He is professional and focused on me during every session. His positivity is honest and infectious. I would recommend Brian to anyone, at any stage of the journey in wanting to improve their fitness. Obviously I'm a fan! Happy to share my experience.

I first met Brian a few years ago when I joined Life Time. He was a trainer for a program that I was extremely hesitant to participate in due to being out of shape and embarrassed that I might fall behind. When I showed up to the first class, it was completely full with people from every level of fitness. The class was fun but tough. I never felt left behind or lost. Brian somehow made everybody in that class feel like it was a one-on-one session. I could tell he actually cares about people and truly wants to help them. He has an infectious personality that makes his workouts fun and enjoyable while still being able to push you to give your all. He creates this environment in his classes where everybody is supportive and pushing you to do your best, like a gym family.
Now here we are years later, and he is helping pull me out of the pandemic slump I put myself in. I don't think I would be back at the gym if it wasn't for him reaching out and checking on me. On the physical side, I could not be happier. His workouts are so balanced and include muscles that I would never dream to work on without his guidance. This has actually led me to a decrease in back pain and hamstring injury while running - which is life changing. I simply cannot recommend Brian enough.

You never know when you meet someone for the first time how much they will impact your life. 2 1/2 years ago I was assigned to Brian as my new personal trainer and I had no idea how much my life would change. Brian has rooted me on, showed me how much my body is capable of, and most of all, become a friend and ally in my ongoing battle to get to "strong and healthy". He's supported me through three, yes three, surgeries and been there to encourage me when I didn't believe that I would be back to the gym. His knowledge of physical training is great, but his super hero strength is his ability to push you to reach YOUR maximum capabilities with positive feedback, a push when you need it and a strong shoulder to lean on. If you have an opportunity to work with this man, take it. You'll be amazed at how far he will push you!

Brian is an exceptional trainer! I have been working with Brian since September 2020. This is the second time I have chosen to work with him.
He is very knowledgeable about the body, equipment and exercises to build muscle as well as lose weight. He goes above and beyond to assist with solutions for pain management. Brian is super personable and has an awesome sense of humor! I would recommend him to anyone looking to get in better shape!

I was immediately impressed with Brian's eagerness to assist, professional demeanor, punctuality, communication skills and positive energy when I met him in 2018. During the time we worked together, I participated in one on one personal training, small group / semi private training and a few 60 day challenges. Brian demonstrated these qualities and many more as I watched him interacting with members. His knowledge of strength training, cardio conditioning, nutrition, corrective exercises, injury prevention and athletic performance is second to none. It is my privilege to endorse him! Brian uses his previous experience from the Army to not only train the body physically, but mentally also. That does not mean screaming or yelling, it means he has a unique way of teaching people to believe in themselves and that there is no limit to their potential, regardless of where we start. Two and a half years ago I came to Lifetime, and with Brian's guidance, I lost 45 lbs. Because of this, I was able to donate my kidney to someone who would have died without the procedure. To me, that is testimony enough to say that Brian is a good person to have on your side during your fitness journey. But outside of the weight loss, the change in my physical strength, cardiovascular fitness, self-confidence and mental health was, in a word, dramatic. I credit these changes to the expertise, support, and guidance that Brian provided during that time. It has now been a year since Covid changed everything, and a year since l've stepped foot in the club- I have had my LT membership on hold during this entire time. There is absolutely zero reason for Brian to still be concerned enough with my health and progress to have provided me with continued guidance, resources, and support during this time away from LT, but that hasn't stopped him from doing so, and in part because of that I have avoided gaining the "Covid-19", which is something I'm very proud of and grateful for. While my strength isn't what it was, I know it will come back in short order when I return to LT. Brian is not only a fantastic coach, but a genuinely good person. If my experience is any indicator, any person lucky enough to work with him will not only benefit from the guidance of an amazing trainer, but they'll also gain a relentless supporter and friend.

Like most people who begin their journey within the gym, I was nervous and not knowing what to expect. However, Brian put that nervousness at ease by taking his time, showing me and telling me the exact movements for the different exercises. He was patient, courteous and encouraging to keep going. I was pretty nervous about working with a trainer - especially a former army drill instructor, but, wow, Brian has been a God-send. His knowledge of physiology and the appropriate exercises for specific results, his ability to communicate, the way he helps me push myself and encourages me to keep going - it's been pretty amazing. He gets as excited as I do when I make progress, and that's so encouraging.

Brian Mahoney is exactly the kind of trainer I was looking for. When I told him what my goals were, he knew exactly how to help me achieve those goals. The next thing I knew, I was losing fat, gaining muscle and LOVING coming into the gym.
If I was left to my own devices (especially at the beginning of my time at LifeTime), I'd be aimlessly wandering around, wondering what exercise I should try next (if I went to the gym at all). But with Brian, he makes it fun, and he tells you exactly what to do. Even though it's tough work, he helps you get past the "limitations" your mind places in front of you, and you find yourself doing workouts you never thought possible.

l am soon to be 66 years old and very inexperienced with working out in a formal and organized fashion. Brian was totally supportive, patient and encouraging but still held my "feet to the fire" and nudged me in each session to do more. He is the consummate professional.always concerned about his clients- asking us how we felt from the last workout, giving us very thorough explanations about the exersize(s) he wanted us to do, what muscles(s) were involved, and his expectation of good form and judgement. His encouragement was never ending. Not one time did I observe Brian showing frustration or disinterest in our group sessions as well as my individual ones. He has a great sense of humor and the ability to make you feel successful no matter how small or large your growth might be.

Brian is one of the best trainers around. He is very enthusiastic about every class he teaches you. I previously did GTX Cut with him, and now I am enrolled in TX Alpha. His training techniques are effective, well-organized, and timed. In about one hour, he makes sure that you receive elite level training. And, if you are focused and go 100%, you will start seeing the benefits. He brings discipline from his military background into every class, which is very helpful. And believe me, sometimes it does feel like a military training drill. I always wanted to train like a soldier, and I get just that when I work with Brian. Overall, he is very kind, friendly, and helpful. He teaches you proper form and always pushes you to your limits. So, if you are looking for serious workouts, please definitely see Brian.
